The Rainbow

Whenever life is grey
I can see a rainbow
& through the rainy day
the colored lights flow
there it is dry
I wonder why
I got to stay
How can I get there, tell me why can't I
travel above the world upon my sigh
When winds are getting rough
I can see the birds fly
they are so free & tough
& sailing so high
passing me by
far in the sky
they never die
How can I leave reality behind
In sparkling colors find my peace of mind
Feel my thoughts spread their wings
lift me above
the rainbow's colored rings
to winds of love
Freedom around
I hear the sound
of secret things
Higher than kings & higher than I seem
Floating through steam towards a land of dream
Floating through steam towards a land of dream
