Indian Summer Lullaby
by
Corny Held

Huge spiders' webs
Trying to catch
Summernight drerams
and sticky they bind ease
In dew drops at their end
Fading sunlight is canned
Still life ahead
Peace and threat newlywed

See the wind in the trees, feel the breeze
See the haze in the says, rime on the ways
Feel the cold in the night, the low, low light
The air is full of drizzle, but even that's all right
It's just fall coming round to calm you down
And the storms sing out their dirge

Hold ot to smoke
Indian summer dope
Thoughts fly down south
in the shape of big black clouds
Joy moving inside
Days are swallowed by night
Still life ahead
the ground a shrouded bed

See the wind in the trees, feel the breeze
See the haze in the says, rime on the ways
Feel the cold in the night, the low, low light
The air is full of drizzle, but even that's all right
It's just fall coming round to calm you down
And the storms sing out their dirge

Yeah, it's fall coming round to calm you down
It is fall coning round to calm you down
With a soft hand on your shoulder you can't turn it down
Just hear the storms lull out their dirge
With the spell of sirens' songs: it's fall that's coming round
With its soft hand and the voice of summer fall is coming round
Yeah, it's just fall coming round to calm you down
Now go out and hear the storms lull out their dirge
It's a lullaby when the storms sing their dirge
