All Through Eternity

Once upon a time in a former life
I must have been a fisherman's wife
I remember the boat - I remember the load
One day he was gone and I was alone

five hundred years from now
I was floating in a boat on the deep blue sea
five hundred years from now
but that wasn't really me

Once upon a time I was a dragonfly
danced along a lake in the deep blue sky
Till the winter came and the snow fell down
I fell into the water, it was cold I got drowned

Five thousand years from now
I was floating on a wave into the deep blue sea
Five thousand years from now
but that wasn't really me

Once upon a time I was a fairy in a tree
my friends were a bird, a wolf, a hermit, and a bee
And the flowers all nodded their heads to me
when a storm came up and took me to the sea.

Five million years from now
I was floating on the wind over the dep blue sea
Five million years from now
but it wasn't really me

I've been so many things in so many times
had a lot of lives while a cat has only nine
In the next one I may be a star or its light
I might never find which one was really mine.

All through eternity
I'll be floating on the wind over the deep blue sea
All through eternity
I'll be floating on a wave on the deep blue sea
five hundred years from now
I'll be floating on the wind over the deep blue sea
Five thousand years from now
I'll be floating on a wave on the deep blue sea
Five million years from now
I'll be floating on a boat on the deep blue sea
All through eternity
I'll be floating on the wind over the deep blue sea
-
until I know it's me
